The Southern Virginia Higher Education Center is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Welding Instructor. The Welding Instructor is responsible for planning, developing, and teaching welding courses while providing hands on training that prepares students with the skills and knowledge needed to be job ready and successful. In addition to instructional duties, the instructor will assist with inventory management, ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational, and engage with employer partners to better understand and meet workforce needs. This position reports to the Welding Program Leader.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 certification. Current facilitator, training, or state Career and Technical Education (CTE) teaching credential.
