Job summary

Arclabs Welding School in Rock Hill, SC seeks a full-time Welding Instructor to deliver lecture, lab, and clinical instruction per curriculum. You will monitor attendance, evaluate student performance, and provide guidance during office hours while maintaining equipment inventory and coordinating with the Lead Welding Instructor.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years welding experience with GTAW, GMAW/FCAW, and SMAW proficiency.

• GTAW welding: 3+ years.
• GMAW/FCAW: 3+ years.
• SMAW welding: 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lecture, lab, and clinical instruction per curriculum.
• Follow course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods.
• Maintain daily lesson plans and monitor attendance/retention.
• Grade assignments and return feedback promptly to students.
• Provide office hours and student advising on policies and performance.
• Communicate with Lead Welding Instructor on activities and needs.
• Submit textbook, supply, and equipment requests in writing.
• Maintain inventory and secure facilities for equipment/supplies.
• Submit purchase orders for needed items to Purchasing.
• Maintain professional appearance and liaise with administration as needed.
• Engage in faculty development and accreditation-related activities.
• Ensure students follow catalog guidelines daily.
• Participate in committees as assigned and perform other duties.

Arclabs Welding School is growing and we are looking to hire a full-time welding instructor.

Welding Instructor

• Prepare and provide all lecture, laboratory and clinical instruction according to the required curriculum
• Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms for the program
• Maintain a lesson plan of daily instructional events
• Monitor student attendance and retention and document as required by the administration Grading assignments, returning graded assignments to students, and assigning final grades for all students in a timely manner
• Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled times (i.e., office hours) or by appointment
• Advise students as it relates to school policies, satisfactory performance, etc.
• Maintain communication with Lead Welding Instructor regarding such activity
• Submit in writing current textbook, supply, and equipment needs to the Lead Welding Instructor
• Monitor & maintain all equipment and supply inventory in locked facilities
• Submit purchase orders to the purchasing department for all necessary items
• Secure consumable supplies as well as educational materials from administrative office when needed
• Maintain professional appearance at all timesCommunicate with administration on all issues related to students
• Maintain professional expertise (faculty development) to meet accreditation standards by attending educational seminars in professional field, reading current literature, attending online courses, etc.
• Ensure that students follow the catalog guidelines daily
• Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings set by the cooperate office
• Serve on committees (e.g., curriculum development, retention, etc.) as assigned based upon expertise or campus needs
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements: Must be able to pass the following weld test

• 3G and 4G GMAW/FCAW combo Mig root uphill or downhill Flux core fill and cap on 3/8 carbon steel plate.
• 6G GTAW/SMAW combo on 4in sch80 carbon steel pipe.
