Job summary

Arclabs Welding School is seeking a full-time Welding Instructor to lead lectures, labs, and clinical instruction across the welding curriculum. You will ensure safety, monitor attendance, and assess student performance while advising students and coordinating with the Lead Instructor.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years welding experience (GTAW 3+ years, GMAW/SMAW/FCAW 3+ years) and a commitment to workforce-ready education in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding instruction and safety standards.
• Welding experience: 5 years minimum required.
• GTAW welding: 3+ years required.
• GMAW/SMAW/FCAW: 3+ years required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lecture, lab, and clinical welding instruction.
• Follow curriculum outlines, objectives, and assessments.
• Maintain daily lesson plans and track attendance.
• Grade assignments and return feedback promptly.
• Offer student advising and office hours.
• Communicate with Lead Welding Instructor on needs.
• Submit equipment and textbook requests in writing.
• Monitor equipment inventory and safety in facilities.
• Attend mandatory meetings and participate in committees.
• Develop professional expertise to meet accreditation standards.

Arclabs Welding School is growing and we are looking to hire a full-time welding instructor.

Welding Instructor

• Prepare and provide all lecture, laboratory and clinical instruction according to the required curriculum
• Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms for the program
• Maintain a lesson plan of daily instructional events
• Monitor student attendance and retention and document as required by the administration Grading assignments, returning graded assignments to students, and assigning final grades for all students in a timely manner
• Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled times (i.e., office hours) or by appointment
• Advise students as it relates to school policies, satisfactory performance, etc.
• Maintain communication with Lead Welding Instructor regarding such activity
• Submit in writing current textbook, supply, and equipment needs to the Lead Welding Instructor
• Monitor & maintain all equipment and supply inventory in locked facilities
• Submit purchase orders to the purchasing department for all necessary items
• Secure consumable supplies as well as educational materials from administrative office when needed
• Maintain professional appearance at all times
• Communicate with administration on all issues related to students
• Maintain professional expertise (faculty development) to meet accreditation standards by attending educational seminars in professional field, reading current literature, attending online courses, etc.
• Ensure that students follow the catalog guidelines daily
• Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings set by the cooperate office
• Serve on committees (e.g., curriculum development, retention, etc.) as assigned based upon expertise or campus needs
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements: Must be able to pass the following weld test

• 3G and 4G GMAW/FCAW combo Mig root uphill or downhill Flux core fill and cap on 3/8 carbon steel plate.
• 6G GTAW/SMAW combo on 4in sch80 carbon steel pipe.
