Job summary

Worley Group, Inc. in Anchorage is seeking a Welder's Helper to support journeymen at the Anchorage Fabrication Facility on a five‑day week schedule. The role focuses on setup, material preparation, and assisting with welding operations in an industrial environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, own standard hand tools for Welder Helper duties, and a valid driver's license. Prior oilfield or petrochemical experience is a plus, and no relocation or per diem is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must own with usual hand tools for Welder Helper duties.
• Valid driver's license with insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies.
• Prepare material surfaces to be welded and ensure cleanliness.
• Determine required equipment and welding methods; start up and adjust welding machines.
• Set up cutting equipment for Air Carbon Arc Cutting, Plasma Arc Cutting, and Oxygen/Acetylene Cutting.
• Assist with chipping or grinding off excess weld, slag, or spatter.
