NANA Construction in Alaska seeks a Welders Helper to assist journeyman fitters and welders in assembling, cutting and welding structural steel components on-site in Big Lake, AK.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, layout support, interpreting drawings, operating cranes and forklifts, and reporting incidents. Requires a HS diploma or GED with related experience, safety awareness, and a valid driver’s license.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED with 10 years related experience considered.
• Minimum 6 months directly related experience.
• Knowledge of basic construction tools, processes and procedures.
• Driver’s License with clean record preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare steel beams, plates, angles and channels for welding or bolting.
• Assist with layout of structural welding clips, plates, grating and holes.
• Interpret structural steel fabrication drawings.
• Operate with OH cranes and forklifts and use correct hand signals.
• Assist with handling and blasting of structural steel using Wheelabrator.
• Report incidents to supervisor.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
