Job summary

Westerman, Inc. is a multi-site manufacturer of production and storage equipment for oil, gas, and nuclear industries. The Group Lead in Welding will supervise, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring safety, quality, and timely production.

This role involves expediting work orders, maintaining production reports, and optimizing resources to reduce scrap. Strong leadership and welding expertise are essential for daily operations on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Open Root MIG/Fluxcore test must be passed.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing/production environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
• Basic computer skills – MS Word and MS Excel; Epicor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend and lead pre-shift meetings; assign daily work.
• Execute scheduled work orders to meet customer requirements.
• Complete production, scrap, and rework reports.
• Train, develop, and maintain training records for employees.
• Support supervisor to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
• Expedite orders and maximize resources while reducing scrap.
