Job summary

Monroechamber in Cudahy, WI is seeking a Structural Fitter Welder (Heavy Plate) with the ability to fit and weld heavy plates up to 1 inch thick. The first shift runs 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and the role is full-time in a growing heavy plate fabrication team.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, interpreting weld symbols, and performing MIG welding (.032–.045 wire) while measuring, cutting, and aligning components for proper fit. Apply a strong eye for detail and maintain a safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Experience as structural fitter/welder in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
• Experience with heavy plate up to 1 inch.
• Proficient MIG welding with .032–.045 wire.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
