Job summary

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, interpreting weld symbols, and performing MIG welding (.032–.045 wire) while measuring, cutting, and aligning components for proper fit. Apply a strong eye for detail and maintain a safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Experience as structural fitter/welder in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
• Experience with heavy plate up to 1 inch.
• Proficient MIG welding with .032–.045 wire.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld heavy plate material up to 1 inch thick
• Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
• Perform MIG welding using .032–.045 wire
• Measure, cut, and align materials to ensure proper fit-up
• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, torches, and measuring tools
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
