Job summary

Central Moloney (CMI) in Panama City, FL is seeking a hands-on Production Team Lead for welding and metal fabrication. You will guide welders and fabricators, drive daily production goals, ensure quality, safety, and efficiency, and coach the team on best practices.

The role emphasizes leadership over welding proficiency, with mandatory overtime to meet production demands through year end. Reports to Production Supervisor and requires a high school diploma or GED, with AWS welding certification

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in manufacturing or similar fast-paced environments.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Strong safety, quality, and efficiency focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily welding and metal fabrication operations to meet schedules.
• Monitor weld quality and fabrication output against standards.
• Onboard and coach new welders and fabricators on best practices.
• Provide real-time performance feedback to team members.
• Identify bottlenecks and communicate with supervisor.
• Ensure PPE and safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain production records and shift reports.
• Collaborate with supervisor on staffing and workflow.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

AWS welding certification (a plus)
