Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a Welding Engineer, Manager to lead the weld development team at our Los Angeles facility, scaling welds for aerospace, defense, and maritime hardware. You will own equipment and processes, hiring and mentoring engineers, and ensure production-ready welds.

This on-site leadership role requires proven experience in high-demand programs, NAVSEA/ASME compliance, and collaboration with production, quality, and programs to align welding priorities with manufacturing goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 6+ years in welding engineering or weld process development; 1+ year leadership.
• Proven track record welding for Navy or aerospace hardware.
• Production manufacturing experience and ability to translate engineering needs to production.
• Knowledge of NAVSEA, AWS D17.1, ASME IX, MIL-STD welding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of welding engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Oversee development and qualification of weld processes and their transition into production.
• Own welding equipment and process selection, from defining requirements to installation.
• Partner with production, tooling, automation, quality, and program teams to align welding priorities with production goals.
• Set welding standards and documentation practices; serve as welding point of contact for internal teams and customers.
