Job summary

Boardwalk Pipelines, LP is seeking a Welding Engineer for our Houston, TX office to support the Asset Integrity and Pipeline Safety team. The role involves welding procedures, anomaly assessments, and materials verification to maintain regulatory compliance.

You will lead welding and NDE activities across construction, maintenance, operations, and capital projects, ensuring safe, reliable pipeline and facility performance. Travel up to 20% to field sites and facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of midstream pipeline operations experience (construction, inspection, fabrication).
• AWS CWI or related certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of CFR 192/195, ASME B31.8/B31.4 is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for pipeline welding and NDE to support integrity, operations, maintenance, and capital projects.
• Provide technical support for welding, fabrication, inspection, and NDE during construction, maintenance, operations, and repair.
• Develop, review, and approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications.
• Develop and update welding and NDE specifications, procedures, and manuals.
• Conduct welding and NDE audits of vendors, contractors, facilities.
• Review and approve welding and NDE documentation including WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, drawings, and specs.
• Support pipeline integrity programs through anomaly assessments and repair evaluations.
• Drive implementation of industry best practices and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
