Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Construction Superintendent – Welding (Starbase) to lead day-to-day welding execution on-site, coordinating contractors and internal teams to meet project schedules. You will plan weld sequences, ensure quality and safety, and drive productivity in a fast-paced test environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction or aerospace, with field leadership experience, and are skilled at reading drawings and managing weld scopes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction or aerospace, with leadership of labor
• Strong field coordination and logistical planning abilities
• Experience reading piping and instrument diagrams and drawings (P&ID, isometric)

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day execution of welding projects on site
• Lead site logistics and operations for welding projects
• Manage welding asset material deliveries, storage and site cleanliness
• Maintain site safety and stormwater prevention plans
• Coordinate with contractors, engineering and SpaceX teams
• Develop cost estimates and manage weld package budgets
• Review drawings and field changes for constructability
• Direct welders and fitters, prioritize daily work
• Travel to sites up to 20% as needed
