Job summary

RTX in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a skilled welder to join our production team. You will perform welding, soldering, and brazing on instrumentation parts, follow drawings, and ensure parts meet specifications using SAP and quality processes.

This position emphasizes PPE, safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to advance and learn new welding processes. HS diploma and manufacturing welding experience preferred; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS Diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Manufacturing weld experience and ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use welding equipment and maintain tools in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Understands welding theory and performs welding, soldering and brazing on parts.
• Welds parts meeting drawing expectations and uses shop tools.
• Maintains welding equipment, ensures quality and adheres to schedules.
• Communicates with engineering on technical welding aspects and participates in CI.
