CSI is seeking a hands-on Supervisor - Robotics & Automation Engineer to lead design, programming, integration and continuous improvement of robotic welding and automation systems in Springfield, MO.

You will own automated work cells, drive uptime, cycle time, weld quality and repeatability, and mentor technicians while collaborating with manufacturing, planning, engineering, quality and maintenance. A strong PLC/HMI and welding automation background is required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Welding Engineering Technology preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years hands-on experience programming, integrating, or supporting industrial robotic welding or automation systems.
• Proficiency with robot platforms and offline programming/simulation environments.
• Experience with welding of stainless steel and related processes (GMAW/GTAW) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PLC/HMI, controls, and machine safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimize robotic programs using offline programming and simulation.
• Design and improve robotic cells with fixtures, positioners, tooling, and vision systems.
• Lead automation reliability by reducing downtime and coordinating maintenance.
• Support welding processes by defining weld parameters and test coupons.
• Align cell capacity with production schedules and manage changeovers.
• Drive continuous improvement with data, root-cause analysis, and LEAN practices.
• Provide technical direction and training, and maintain automation documentation.
