Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Welding Assistant in Farmington, MN. The role involves assisting in welding metal and aluminum components per blueprints and layouts, using arc welding equipment and plasma cutting as needed.

Training is provided in-house, with shifts on 1st and 2nd, and starting pay from $24.10 to $26.97 per hour. You will set up components, read drawings, perform basic math, and ensure safety using PPE.

Qualifications

• No certifications or previous experience required; training provided in-house.
• Basic math and ability to read layouts, blueprints, and work orders.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist welding metal and aluminum components per layouts and orders.
• Operate plasma machine to burn holes in poles/components.
• Set up, align, and prepare parts for welding; maintain welding equipment.
