Job summary

Brunswick New York Mills is seeking a Welder in Training to prep boats for paint, rotating between sanding and welding, and to complete 20 hours of internal weld classes.

You will perform MIG/TIG welding on aluminum hulls after training, read drawings and specs, and document welded parts. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and on-site collaboration with overtime as needed. Benefits and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience using an orbital sander and a 7” grinder is preferred.
• Ability to read drawings/blueprints and follow specs is essential.
• Respirator certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boat for paint process with attention to detail.
• Sand sides and bottom; grind bows and transoms.
• Weld aluminum boats (MIG/TIG) after completing weld classes.
• Maintain documentation of welded boats for production.
• Assist with moving boats to paint carts and maintain safety standards.
