Job description

Job Title: Welding Application Engineer

Location: Cucciago (CO)

The Laser Welding Application Engineer works in strong synergy with Sales, Technical Office, and Service areas. They are responsible for designing and executing demos with customers and assessing the technical feasibility of special applications. This role is key in the development and sales of Laser Welding Systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the technical feasibility of each bid request to meet customer needs;
• Find technical solutions for special application requests;
• Organize and conduct demos to showcase the value of our Laser products;
• Maintain the order and functionality of systems and equipment in the showroom and properly handle customer materials.

Activities

• Conduct feasibility analysis, development, and design of standard and special laser welding applications;
• Contribute to product development, industrialization, and value analysis;
• Support Service in training, testing, and after-sales activities related to developed applications;
• Assist in organizing demo fairs and open houses;
• Help develop promotional materials in collaboration with Marketing and Communications.

Must Have

• Technical/scientific degree (mechanical, mechatronic engineering, automation, or physics);
• International Welding Engineer (IWE) degree;
• Proficiency in English (Level B2/C1, written and spoken);
• Good relationship skills for constructive interactions with clients and colleagues;
• Flexibility, dynamism, sense of responsibility, and the ability to undertake assignments matching demonstrated expertise;
• Experience in machine tool companies, preferably in welding (laser).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of features, potentials, and applications of laser welding systems.
