Metropolitan Community College (Kansas City) is seeking a Welding Adjunct Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners in the Industrial Technology Program. Candidates should be dedicated to student success, equity and hands-on workplace understanding.

The role involves teaching a full range of Welding coursework across campuses. The position may require day/evening/weekend classes and travel between campuses.

Qualifications

• 8 years full-time related occupational experience or approved Journey worker status.
• 4 years full-time related occupational experience and an Associate’s degree in career field.
• 2 years full-time related occupational experience and a Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for teaching a full range of Welding coursework within the Industrial Technology Program.
• May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and will involve travel to other campuses.
• A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.

Education

8 years full-time related occupational experience or approved Journey worker status.
