Job summary

Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is seeking a full-time Welding Technology faculty member to deliver high-quality, learner-centered instruction across KCKCC locations. The incumbent will support the college’s mission and strategic plan while ensuring equipment, curriculum, and resources stay current with industry standards.

The role involves instructional leadership, curriculum updates, budgeting, and active engagement with advisory boards, industry partners, and student placement

Qualifications

Three years of related industry experience.
Associate degree in an appropriate discipline.
Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide formal instruction and leadership in the Welding Technology program.
Ensure curriculum and materials align with industry standards.
Maintain equipment and training modules within budget constraints.
Support program budgeting and procurement processes.
Develop and update course syllabi and lesson plans.
Recruit and market the program to potential students.
Participate in program assessment and advisory board activities.
Assist in student job placement and safety monitoring.
