Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. in New Mexico is seeking a Welder to layout, weld, and repair metal parts using jigs and fixtures, following blueprints and work orders.

You will operate oxy-fuel and arc welding processes, inspect finished work, and maintain records in a safety-conscious plant environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of welding experience or Weld School Certification, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience or Weld School Certification.
• Preferred Certifications: Grinding, GMAW, Flux Core; Arcosa will Certify.
• Ability to qualify as horizontal welder and vertical welder.
• Ability to communicate in English both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently perform Oxy Fuel Burning and Carbon Arcing.
• May perform multiple pass welds.
• Lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies.
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
