Job summary

TrailersPlus, a Division of Interstate Group, seeks a Welder in Conway, AR to weld, cut, and braze metal parts for trailer frames using flame-cutting and handheld welding equipment. You will assemble, tack weld, and finish parts while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities include operating grinders and torches, inspecting materials, and notifying supervision of defects. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and flexibility to support other production tasks as needed.

  • Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding.
  • Ability to read and listen to assignments in various formats.

Responsibilities

  • Welds raw materials to construct/repair trailer frames using cutting, burning and welding techniques.
  • Handles power tools such as grinders, chop saws, oxygen and acetylene torches.
  • Prepares, assembles, and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  • Notifies Supervisor when faulty equipment or materials are discovered.
  • Consistently meets high quality and control standards.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Learn and become proficient in other production roles to support the team.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Welds raw materials to construct and/or repair the framework of our trailers using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
  • Handles power tools such as grinders, chop saws, oxygen and acetylene torches, and other general hand tools
  • Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  • Notifies Supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
  • Consistently meets high quality and control standards.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Learn and become proficient in other production roles in order to support our entire team as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Able to work safely and follow all safety rules
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding
  • Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat or overhead.
  • Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
  • Must be able to see details at close range
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop, carry materials.

Work Hours : Monday - Thursday | 7:00am - 5:30pm, Friday | 7:00am - 12:00pm

Pay Rate : $20 / hour
