Job summary

Interstate Group, LLC is seeking a Welder for our utility trailer manufacturing operations in Conway, AR. The role involves welding, cutting, and brazing metal pieces using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.

Typical duties include constructing and repairing trailer frameworks, handling power tools, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of machines and tools used in welding.
• Good listening and comprehension to follow assignments.

Responsibilities

• Welds raw materials to construct/repair trailer framework using cutting, burning, and welding methods.
• Uses grinders, chop saws, oxy/acetylene torches, and basic hand tools.
• Prepares and tack welds parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and workspace.
• Alerts supervisor to faulty equipment or materials.
• Adheres to high quality and control standards.
• Works safely at all times.
• Learn and assist in other production roles to support the team.

Welder - Utility Trailer manufacturing

Full-time Regular 3824 Conway, AR, US

Salary Range: $20.00 To $20.00 Hourly

Job Summary:

The Welder will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Welds raw materials to construct and/or repair the framework of our trailers using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.

Handles power tools such as grinders, chop saws, oxygen and acetylene torches, and other general hand tools

Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.

Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.

Notifies Supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.

Consistently meets high quality and control standards.

Works safely at all times.

Learn and become proficient in other production roles in order to support our entire team as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Able to work safely and follow all safety rules

Ability to accurately read a tape measure

Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding

Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 pounds at times.

Ability to stand, walk, and move around the manufacturing area for extended periods.

Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop, push, pull and/or carry materials.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Must be able to work in hot or cold environments.

Must be able to work in indoor or outdoor environments.

May be exposed to welding, grinding, paint fumes, and machinery noise.

Work Hours : Monday - Thursday | 7:00am - 5:30pm

Pay Rate : $20/ hour
