Job summary

TrailersPlus, a Division of Interstate Group, is seeking a Welder to weld, cut, and braze metal pieces for trailer frames using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment in Conway, AR. Typical hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00am–5:30pm, with pay at $20 per hour.

You will read and interpret work orders, operate grinders and torches, maintain tools and workspace, and ensure products meet quality standards while working safely.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely follow all safety rules.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Thorough understanding of welding machines and tools.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Welds raw materials to construct/repair trailer framework using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
• Handles power tools such as grinders, chop saws, oxygen and acetylene torches, and other general hand tools
• Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
• Notifies Supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
• Consistently meets high quality and control standards.
• Works safely at all times.
• Learn and become proficient in other production roles in order to support our entire team as needed.

Job Summary

The Welder will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Welds raw materials to construct and/or repair the framework of our trailers using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
• Handles power tools such as grinders, chop saws, oxygen and acetylene torches, and other general hand tools
• Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
• Notifies Supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
• Consistently meets high quality and control standards.
• Works safely at all times.
• Learn and become proficient in other production roles in order to support our entire team as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Able to work safely and follow all safety rules
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding
• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the manufacturing area for extended periods.
• Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop, push, pull and/or carry materials.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Must be able to work in hot or cold environments.
• Must be able to work in indoor or outdoor environments.
• May be exposed to welding, grinding, paint fumes, and machinery noise.

Monday - Thursday | 7:00am - 5:30pm

Pay Rate

$20/ hour
