Job summary

Western Trailers in Boise, Idaho is seeking a skilled welder to set up, operate and MIG-weld steel to fabricate custom trailers. You will work with cutting-edge equipment and follow established procedures to produce parts for trailers.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, performing MIG welds, operating a crane with proper rigging, and using PPE. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math is required; 2–5 years MIG experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret drawings.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Perform vertical and horizontal fillet MIG welds, with a high degree of quality and little supervision
• Ability to operate a crane with proper rigging skills.
• Understand and know how to use personal protective equipment (PPE) for all work areas and materials.
• Accurately and in a timely manner produce materials to specifications under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and follow established procedures and approved processes.
• Experience in pulse-on-pulse MIG machine.
• Comply with all equipment operations & procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Set up, operate, and tend machines to fabricate custom trailers. Utilize cutting-edge equipment to weld in all positions with MIG steel welding to produce parts for custom semi-trailers.

• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Previous experience will be helpful

Education:

• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalency.
• 2-5 years MIG experience is a plus.
