Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality welds using TIG with a foot pedal and/or Laser processes
  • Knowledge of metals and characteristics of different alloys - down to 19 gauge material
  • Read and understand blueprints and welding callouts in designs
  • Use various measuring methods and tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and scales
  • Operate other hand-welding equipment and flame-cutting equipment such as oxyacetylene torch or similar for cutting, heating, or brazing
  • Conduct assessments to verify critical weld requirements are met
  • Understand fixturing and use of tools to achieve proper fitment of parts prior to welding
  • Proper use of all necessary safety protocols and personal protective equipment
  • Communicate effectively to work in a team environment to ensure safe and efficient work and help drive continual improvement

  • Physical/Mental Requirements:
  • Proficient in tig welding thin gauge sheet steel and aluminum
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to draft routine reportsand correspondence.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure,
  • using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio,
  • and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
  • instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
  • situations.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to
  • walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch,
  • or crawl.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
  • peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving

One element in our total compensation package is pay. The starting pay for this role is $18.00 to $30.00 per hour.
