Emerge is seeking a Welder to build submarine-grade fabrications in Cleveland. You will weld carbon and stainless steels, interpret blueprints, and collaborate with Operations and Weld Engineering on diverse projects.

Want to build large complex fabrications for submarines?

The Goals and Challenges of this Role:

• Weld various parts in different materials
• Conduct dimensional inspections of parts and check for quality requirements.
• Understand and interpret blue prints and technical drawings.
• Works with Operations and Weld Engineering to execute various types of projects.
• Grinding, sanding, and cutting (oxy fuel and hand plasma)
• Adhere to lean manufacturing initiatives, quality requirements, and safety programs.
• General welding and shop duties as needed

What You Should Bring to this Role:

• Experience in welding of Carbon, Stainless, or High Alloy Steels
• Experience in FCAW and GMAW Spray Transfer.
• Experience welding thick to thin structural members
• Strong overall mechanical aptitude.
• HS diploma or equivalent

Available Shifts

1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Note: Overtime may be required (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM).

2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (4 x 10-hour shifts)

Benefit: Includes a $2/hr shift premium.

Weekend 1st Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Benefit: Work 36 hours and receive 40 hours of pay.

Weekend 2nd Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Benefit: Includes a $5/hr shift premium.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $34.00 per hour +$2.00-$5.00/hr shift premium
