Job summary

Emerge is recruiting qualified candidates for direct hire MIG or TIG Welder positions in Western Cleveland, Ohio for our client, a growing military manufacturer. You will weld on custom parts from Stainless Steel and other exotic materials, in accordance with ASME Code and Military Specifications, reading and interpreting blueprints.

Responsibilities include grinding, sanding, and cutting with oxyfuel and hand plasma tools, following lean principles, safety and quality standards, and assisting

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in TIG welding with ability to work on exotic materials.
• Experience with GTAW (TIG), FCAW and GMAW (MIG) welding processes.
• Experience in pipefitting and reading technical drawings.
• Welding carbon, stainless, or nickel-based alloys.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Weld TIG and MIG on custom parts and assemblies.
• Read and interpret customer blueprints and drawings.
• Weld to ASME Code and Military Specifications.
• Grind, sand, and cut using oxyfuel and hand plasma tools.
• Follow lean, safety, and quality standards; assist with shop duties.

Job description

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for direct hire MIG or TIG Welder jobs in Western Cleveland, Ohio for our client, a growing military manufacturer. In this role, you will perform TIG OR MIG welding on custom parts made from Stainless Steel and other exotic materials. In this role, you will weld in accordance with ASME Code and Military Specifications while reading and interpreting custom blueprints and drawings provided by customers. You will also be responsible for grinding, sanding, and cutting using oxyfuel and hand plasma equipment. This position offers multiple shift options across weekdays and weekends, several of which include shift premiums. The salary range for this position is $23.00 to $28.00 dollars per hour, with excellent benefits starting on day one of employment. Training is on first shift through a comprehensive 7-12 week course.

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime may be required, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM).Openings starting in September
• 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (4 x 10-hour shifts); includes a $2/hr shift premium.(priority position)
• Weekend 1st Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM; work 36 hours and receive 40 hours of pay.
• Weekend 2nd Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM; includes a $5/hr shift premium (starting in September)

Responsibilities for the TIG Welder job in Western Cleveland, OH include:

• Performing TIG and MIG welding and fabrication on custom parts.
• Welding Stainless Steel, C-276, and Inconel 600 series materials.
• Welding in accordance with ASME Code and Military Specifications.
• Reading and interpreting custom blueprints and drawings from customers.
• Performing grinding, sanding, and cutting using oxyfuel and hand plasma tools.
• Following lean principles along with safety and quality standards.
• Assisting with general welding and shop duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Overall able to commit to the company's core values
• Demonstrated success in TIG welding, with a strong desire to continuously improve.
• Experience in GTAW (TIG), FCAW, and GMAW Spray Transfer (MIG) welding processes.
• Experience in pipefitting.
• Experience welding Carbon, Stainless, or Nickel-based alloys.
• Ability to use shop math and understand written job instructions.Strong overall mechanical aptitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
