Set up and adjust welding parameters (voltage, amperage, travel speed, shielding gas) based on engineering specifications and work orders. Operate robotic welding cells and manual stations with precision.
  • Fabrication & Fit‑Up: Cut, trim, and fit components using saws, shears, grinders, and hand tools. Align and clamp parts to achieve proper joint geometry before welding.Apply tack welding, pre‑heat, or post‑heat as required.
  • Quality & Inspection: Conduct visual and non‑destructive inspections (e.g., dye‑penetrant, ultrasonic) on welds. Document weld reports, traceability data, and any non‑conformances in SAP/Ariba. Re‑work or repair deficient welds following approved instructions.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all LockheedMartin safety protocols, PPE requirements, and fire‑extinguishing procedures. Ensure compliance with NADCAP, AS9100, and relevant welding standards (AWS, ASME).
  • Documentation & Traceability: Complete weld logs, material lot numbers, and inspection records for each job. Update work orders and product status in SAP.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate daily with supervisors, fabricators, and quality engineers to resolve issues quickly. Participate in Kaizen events, continuous‑improvement initiatives, and skills‑sharing sessions.
  • Training & Mentoring: Assist in training new hires or apprentices on welding techniques and safety practices.
Why join our team:
