Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Texas seeks a skilled assembler for electronic and mechanical modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames and cables. You will follow diagrams, perform layouts, and operate tools with an emphasis on quality and continuous improvement.

You will participate in mentoring teammates, ensuring adherence to IPC/J-Standard 001 standards, and contributing to test and calibration activities as required. This role emphasizes manufacturing discipline and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical assembly and soldering.
• IPC and J-Standard 001 certified.
• Certified in classroom assembly and solder training.
• Minimum of two years of production experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of production assembly operations from repetitive to non-repetitive tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies.
• Work from diagrams and drawings, make layouts, and use hand/power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Conduct quality inspections and assist in testing / calibration as needed.
• Lead and mentor lower level employees, assign work, and provide training.

Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. Usually works without established procedures, performing a wide variety of nonstandard complex tasks using advanced techniques and requiring extensive knowledge of discipline. Analyzes requirements for special projects and recommends methods and processes to accomplish. Conducts research and assists in investigational studies. Supports the design/development of new or modified equipment or methods/systems for improved performance through analysis and check-out. Evaluates and resolves calibrating and troubleshooting problems. Leads and mentors others and lower level employees, may assign work, schedule work flow and provide direct training.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in electrical assembly and soldering

• Actively participate in the PMT process
• Perform routine, repetitive and basic tasks where precedent, methods and processes are well established; make simple decisions but refer most to more experienced person
• Minimum of two years of production experience.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $46200.00 - $85800.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
