Stabil Drill, a Superior Energy Services Company, is seeking a Full Time Welder/PTA Operator to join our Midland, Texas team. This position involves welding various materials using MIG and TIG applications in a shop setting.

Primary duties include fabrication and repair of downhole drilling equipment, stabilizers, and hard facings while ensuring safety and compliance with QHSE requirements. The role supports management in estimating welding time frames and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year welding experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair shop components in welding.
• Fabricate downhole drilling equipment, including stabilizers.
• Apply hard facings on stabilizers.
• Repair stabilizers and perform grinding.
• Estimate time frames for welding jobs with supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow QHSE.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.

Stabil Drill is currently seeking a Full Time Welder/PTA Operator to join our team in Midland, Texas. This position performs duties including welding various types of materials with MIG and TIG applications.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for manufacturing and repair functions in the welding shop.
• Fabricate downhole drilling equipment, including stabilizers.
• Experience in applying various hard facings used on stabilizers.
• Experience in repairing stabilizers.
• Manual cylindrical grinding.
• Work with management to estimate time frame on welding jobs.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Ensure awareness of, and compliance with, relevant company/customer QHSE requirements.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred.
• 1 year of welding experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
