Job summary

Stabil Drill, a Superior Energy Services Company, is seeking a Welder/Grinder in Midland, TX to weld various materials using MIG and TIG in manual and automated settings, as well as manual and CNC grinding.

Essential duties include manufacturing and repair in the welding and grind shop, repairing downhole drilling equipment, and estimating job timeframes with management, while maintaining a safe work environment and complying with QHSE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year welding and grinding experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and repair welding and grind shop duties.
• Repair downhole drilling equipment, including stabilizers.
• Estimate time frames on welding and grinding jobs with management.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Ensure awareness of, and compliance with, QHSE requirements.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.

Stabil Drill is currently seeking a Welder/Grinder to join our team in Midland Texas. This position will perform duties including welding various types of materials with MIG and TIG both in manual and automated applications as well as manual and CNC grinding.

• Responsible for manufacturing and repair functions in the welding and grind shop.
• Repair downhole drilling equipment, including stabilizers.
• Work with management to estimate time frame on welding and grinding jobs.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Ensure awareness of, and compliance with, relevant company/customer QHSE requirements.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred.
• 1 year of welding and grinding experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
