Job summary

HI-TECH FURNACE SYSTEMS INC is seeking a skilled Welder/Pipe Fitter to join our Shelby Township, MI manufacturing team. The role focuses on precision fabrication, welding structural and pipe components, and reading blueprints to ensure spec conformity.

You will collaborate with others to keep production on schedule and uphold safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates have proven welding and pipe fitting experience, familiarity with MIG/TIG/stick processes, and the ability to interpret

Qualifications

• Proven welding and pipe fitting experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and weld symbols
• Knowledge of pipe fitting, layout, and assembly methods
• Attention to detail with commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and pipe welding using MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols to ensure accurate fabrication
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble pipe systems and structural components to specification
• Inspect welds and pipe fittings for quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Operate hand and power tools, grinders, and cutting equipment safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety protocols
