Job summary

HI-TECH FURNACE SYSTEMS INC is seeking a skilled Welder/Pipe Fitter to join our Shelby Township, MI manufacturing team where precision and quality are at the heart of every build. You will weld structural and pipe components, read blueprints, and collaborate with fabrication to meet production goals.

Ideal candidates bring MIG/TIG/STICK welding experience, pipe fitting expertise, and a strong commitment to safety and craftsmanship. AWS certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as welder, pipe fitter, or combination role in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• AWS welding certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and pipe welding using MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols to ensure accurate fabrication
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble pipe systems and structural components to specification
• Inspect welds and pipe fittings for quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Operate hand and power tools, grinders, and cutting equipment safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety protocols
