Job summary

Trillium Construction is seeking Stick Welders near Glens Falls, NY. Work includes SMAW welding on industrial equipment, following supervision, and supporting shutdown activities.

The position offers $34/hour, 8h travel paid each way, per diem: $125/day for seven days and hotel, and a demanding schedule of 10–12h shifts, seven days a week. OT after 8h and Saturdays, Sunday rest day. Strong independence in fast-paced environments required.

Qualifications

• Recent shutdown/outage experience.
• Must have experience with air carbon arc gouging.
• Comfortable in confined space (18–24” manways, no tube crawling).
• Respirator ready (must shave if required and pass fit test).
• Reliable, strong work ethic.
• Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced shutdown environment.
• Valid ID + ability to complete paid safety training.

• Gouge out existing/failed welds and damaged material in preparation for repair
• Grind, clean and prep material for welding
• Fit and weld replacement or repair material as required
• Perform repair welding in an industrial/paper-mill environment
• Work from direction provided by onsite supervision as repairs are identified
• Assist with material handling, cleanup and other shutdown activities as needed

• Pay rate is $34/hour
• 8h paid travel there (upon arrival), 8h paid travel back
• Per Diem: $125 / day for all 7 days and hotel
• Schedule: Mon - Sun, 70h+ / week (10-12h shifts)
• OT: After 8h, and Saturdays
• DT: Sundays
