Job summary

Trillium Construction in Kentucky is seeking highly skilled Structural Welders/Fabricators for a fabrication shop near Millwood. You will own layout, fit-up and welding from start to finish with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate reads fabrication prints, measures accurately and fabricates structural steel pieces, delivering high-quality welds. The role offers $34 per hour, $100 per diem, and a Mon-Fri 50-hour week schedule at the shop near Millwood.

Qualifications

• Pass vertical-up FCAW/flux-core weld test.
• Pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Read and work from structural steel fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Understand dimensions, weld symbols and member orientation.
• Perform their own measurements and layout.
• Cut, grind and prepare structural material for fabrication.
• Fit and tack structural steel assemblies.
• Check assemblies for proper dimensions, alignment and squareness.
• Make adjustments during fit-up as necessary.
• Fabricate with structural steel including beams, plate, channel, angle and similar material.
• Complete weld-out of fabricated assemblies independently.
• Produce quality structural welds with minimal supervision.

Job description

Trillium Construction is seeking highly skilled Structural Welders/Fabricators for a fabrication shop near Millwood, KY, who areexperienced, stand-alone fabricators that can take ownership of their work from layout and fit-up through final welding.

A good candidate should be comfortable being handed a fabrication print and completing the job with minimal assistance rather than relying on another fitter to lay out, prepare and assemble everything before welding.

Pay: $34
Per Diem: $100 / day for days worked
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 50h / week
