RASIRC, Inc. is seeking a Welder/Metal Fabricator in San Diego to join the Manufacturing team and drive innovative metal fabrication for high-purity applications.

Responsibilities include welding and fabricating per ISO procedures, reading blueprints, and supporting development projects with Engineering. Requires 5+ years in high-purity stainless steel welding and the ability to lift ~35 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 5 years of high-purity stainless steel welding in critical applications.
• Experience with orbital and manual welding.
• Familiarity with high-purity metal fabrication.
• Ability to read diagrams, procedures, and schematics.
• Must be able to lift ~35 pounds.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate or repair weldments and metal components per ISO and company procedures.
• Fabricate components and weldments for development projects with Engineering.
• Assist facilities projects requiring welding or fabrication.
• Coordinate with Materials to maintain floor stock of fabrication materials.
• Assist in collecting and analyzing data to support production metrics.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping in the work area.

Position Overview:

The Welding/Metal Fabricator is responsible for performing various welding and metal fabrication tasks to create, assemble, and repair metal products and structures. This role requires a high level of skill in different welding techniques, an understanding of metal properties, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. The Welding/Metal Fabricator plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of metal products used in manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricates and/or repairs weldments and other metal components for released products complying with all established ISO and company-defined manufacturing procedures.
• Fabricate metal components and weldments for development projects at the direction of the Production Manager and in conjunction with the applicable Engineering Team.
• Assist with applicable facilities projects that may require welding or metal fabrication.
• Coordinating with the Materials team help maintain floor stock of all applicable fabrication materials.
• Assist, as applicable, collecting and analyzing data in support of production metrics.
• Maintain all applicable safety, cleanliness and housekeeping standards within work area.

Education and Experience:

• Requires High School Diploma
• Minimum 5 years of high purity, stainless steel welding and metal fabrication experience for critical applications such as the semiconductor industry.
• Ability and experience with both orbital and hand welding.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication for high purity applications

• Proficient use of written and verbal English
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to read and understand diagrams, procedures, drawings and schematics.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment.

• Understanding of widely-used quality systems such as ISO.
• Ability to lift approximately 35 pounds.
• S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.

• The salary for this position is $30 - $35/ hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
