Gulf Copper is seeking experienced Combo Pipe/Plate Fitters/Welders to join their Corpus Christi yard. You will fabricate, fit, and weld complex piping systems and structural plate components for marine vessels and offshore structures, using dual-craft expertise and precision welding.

Ideal candidates will have marine or industrial welding experience, be able to read blueprints, pass ABS/ASME weld tests, and work under deadlines in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Industrial and/or marine fitting/welding experience: 3–5 years (1st Class) or 1–3 years (2nd Class).
• Must pass ABS or ASME weld test.
• NCCER card preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and drawings.
• Physical ability to climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in confined spaces and at heights.

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma and/or one year certificate from college or technical school preferred
• Industrial and/or marine fitting/welding experience: 1st Class 3-5 years, 2nd Class 1–3 years
• Must pass an ABS or ASME weld test
• Pass the Gulf Copper written pipe fitter and/or hands‑on pipe and plate fitter test when applicable
• NCCER card preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and technical manuals
• Ability to work under deadlines and schedule pressures
• Physical ability to climb (100 feet), lift (50 lbs.), and work in confined spaces and at heights
• Must wear hearing, eye, head protection and proper PPE
• Experience with a wide variety of materials, including titanium, aluminum, exotic metals, and steel
