Gulf Copper is seeking a skilled Combo Pipe/Plate Welder to join our Corpus Christi, TX production team. You will perform high-quality structural plate and high-pressure pipe welding on marine vessels, fabrication assemblies, and offshore equipment.

The ideal candidate has multi-process welding expertise (SMAW, FCAW, GTAW), strong blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to consistently pass code-level weld inspections.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 6–12 months welding experience.
• Must pass ABS or ASME weld test.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform welding to spec.
• Open-air work environment; ability to work in hot/cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Understand welding procedures and parameters.
• Welds steel plates and pipes for marine vessels and equipment.
• Select and set up welding equipment for planned welds.
• Inspect welds to ensure conformity with standards.
• Welds in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
