Chemtrade is seeking a Welder Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring a safe and efficient facility. This role involves performing maintenance and repair tasks, with a focus on welding and teamwork. Candidates should possess strong welding skills and a commitment to safety.
Position : Welder Maintenance Technician
Shift : Monday to Friday (40 hours + overtime)
Reports to : Plant Manager
Hourly Rate : $36.00 / hour
The US hourly rate for this position is $36 plus benefits. Rates depend on role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. Specific rates for your location can be discussed during hiring. The listed rate reflects the starting pay for new hires and may include overtime and shift premiums but does not include benefits or pension contributions.

About this Role and About You
The Welder Maintenance Technician supports the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining a safe, environmentally friendly facility. You will perform routine and secondary maintenance, repair tasks, and support team collaboration. Leadership skills are essential for training and team cohesion.
Welding duties include designing and fabricating structures, piping, and supports in controlled environments and the field. You will repair and restore industrial equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and valves.
This role requires a safety-conscious individual with a strong safety attitude and attention to detail, due to the hazardous chemicals handled and stored.
Responsibilities
Environmental, Health & Safety Responsibilities :
Promote safety, participate in safety inspections, training, and audits. Follow hazard analysis, incident management, and emergency procedures. Mentor in safety skills and ensure compliance with safety training and certifications.
Qualifications
Knowledge
Physical Demands / Work Environment :
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work long periods standing or walking, in confined or elevated spaces, including climbing stairs and ladders.
Shift : Monday to Friday, with on-call duties for emergencies.
Work in confined and elevated spaces as required.
