Job summary

Propulsion Controls Engineering is seeking a Structural Welder Journeyman II with a minimum of five years of marine and/or shipyard experience. The role supports Bremerton and Everett, Washington locations and involves reading blueprints, setting up worksites, and performing welding and brazing tasks.

You will lay out base metals, utilize SMAW/FCAW/GTAW/BRAZE processes, and ensure compliance with safety and fire prevention standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of marine and/or shipyard experience.
• Associates degree or technical certification preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lays out and prepares base metals using air and power tools.
• Reads and properly interprets blueprints and drawings.
• Demonstrates knowledge of gas line and fire prevention.
• Able to run and post hot work chits, and set up worksites.
• Fabricate and template new assemblies utilizing SMAW, FCAW, GTAW or BRAZE.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
