Propulsion Controls Engineering has a job opening for a Structural Welder Journeyman II, with a m inimum of 5 years of marine and/or shipyard experience preferred; supporting our Bremerton & Everett, Washington locations.
The Structural Welder Journeyman, lays out and prepares base metals using air and power tools. Reads and properly interprets blueprints and drawings. Demonstrates knowledge of gas line and fire prevention. Able to run and post hot work chits, and set up worksites. Fabricate and template new assemblies utilizing SMAW, FCAW, GTAW or BRAZE. Performs other task as assigned.
This position may require access to U.S. government or military sites. As such, candidates must be eligible to obtain base access clearance, which includes passing a background check and presenting valid government-issued identification. Per federal requirements, acceptable ID must be REAL ID-compliant or an approved form of federal identification, such as a valid U.S. passport.
