Job description

Position Summary:

The Equipment Installer plays a key role in the field installation and support of industrial systems. This position involves both on-site and in-shop tasks such as unloading and organizing equipment, assembling components based on technical drawings, operating heavy machinery, and welding/fabrication work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with on-site unloading and organizing of equipment, ductwork, and system components
2. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper equipment assembly
3. Use cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, and other rigging tools to assemble equipment
4. Measure, cut, and fit piping for system runs and tie-ins
5. Operate scissor lifts and boom lifts to assemble ductwork, piping, and units at elevation
6. Perform routine service on equipment, including filter changes and basic troubleshooting
7. Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical systems and components
8. Participate in welding and in-shop fabrication projects as needed
9. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, both in-shop and on-site

Qualifications:

• Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, or equipment installation
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
• Skilled in operating construction machinery (cranes, lifts, forklifts, etc.)
• Comfortable working at heights and in various environmental conditions
• Welding and fabrication experience is a strong plus
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
