A family-owned manufacturing company in Slinger, WI, is looking for a Fitter/Welder experienced in GMAW, Flux, and Sub Arc welding. Candidates should have the ability to work independently and lift up to 50 lbs. A competitive salary and extensive benefits package will be offered after 30 days of employment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Job Position: Fitter/Welder

Location: Slinger, WI 53086

Pay Rate: $29.00/hr BOE

Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Description:

Our family-owned and operated company is immediately hiring for a first shift fitter-welder experienced with GMAW, Flux, and Sub Arc welding in Waukesha, WI. Experience with open table fit up & welding large scale parts and the ability to work independently is a must. You’ll be working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Fitter-Welder Duties and Responsibilities

1. Read and comprehend welding blueprints, patterns, fixtures and specifications.
2. Verify the correct quantity and quality of parts welded.
3. Layout stitch welds; locations of weld and weld size for welders.
4. Layout and operate both fuel gas and plasma hand torches for fitting purposes.
5. Move material using a forklift and overhead crane.
6. Assist with the welding of Weldments.

Fitter-Welder Qualifications and Requirements

1. Experience in open table Fit-Up.
2. Experience with Solid-Wire or Flux-Core.
3. Experience with large parts and heavy plate manufacturing.
4. High School diploma or equivalent.
5. Heavy manufacturing in a job shop environment.
6. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
