Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble metal frames and components according to customer specifications.
Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
Prepare materials by measuring, beveling, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
Inspect materials before welding to ensure proper size, type, and quantity.
Review completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with blueprints.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and shop machinery.
Perform routine maintenance on welding units, torches, and gas tanks.
Troubleshoot production and welding issues using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
Maintain accurate labor and production records.
Follow all safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Assist in other areas of the shop as needed.
Consistently meet production goals while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
