Job summary

SCHWING America in Saint Paul, MN is seeking experienced welders to join our direct labor team. You’ll work on large, complex components from detailed blueprints, producing welds that meet high quality standards.

This role involves precise position welding, reading blueprints, grinding and finishing parts, and collaborating with the Production Lead to hit daily goals; safety and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Welding.
• Ability to pass SCHWING America welding tests and maintain welding certification.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to pass an annual Jaeger vision examination.

Responsibilities

• Perform position welding with a high degree of skill and accuracy
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine weld locations, components, and layouts
• Weld component parts according to prints and product specifications
• Grind, deburr, and polish components to create a high-quality finished product
• Inspect your work to ensure welds meet established quality standards
• Complete re-welds and repairs to German DIN/AWS standards
• Work closely with your Production Lead to meet daily production requirements
• Identify and communicate safety, equipment, tooling, or quality concerns
• Use barcode scanners and computers to access work instructions and track labor
