Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal frames and components according to customer specifications.
• Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Prepare materials by measuring, beveling, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
• Inspect materials before welding to ensure proper size, type, and quantity.
• Review completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with blueprints.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and shop machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding units, torches, and gas tanks.
• Troubleshoot production and welding issues using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain accurate labor and production records.
• Follow all safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist in other areas of the shop as needed.
• Consistently meet production goals while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Welder III / Fabrication Welder

Penmac Staffing is seeking an experienced Welder III for a client in the Brainerd area. This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder who takes pride in producing quality work and enjoys working in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple welding processes, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high production and quality standards.

Requirements for the Welder III

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of welding or metal fabrication experience
• Experience with MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
• Strong measuring, layout, and inspection skills
• Ability to safely operate welders, grinders, saws, drill presses, and other shop equipment
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
