Buyers Products Company in Mentor, Ohio is seeking an experienced Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will interpret blueprints, weld components, operate equipment, and support production while upholding safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years of welding experience, a welding certificate or HS diploma, and a strong commitment to safety and craftsmanship in a hands-on work environment. This role is on site with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
  • Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
  • Operate specialized welding machinery and oversee similar processes.
  • Maintain and repair all welding machinery and equipment.
  • Assess welded surfaces and structures to identify errors.
  • Follow safety regulations including PPE and safe work practices.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

Job description

Buyers Products Company, a leading manufacturer in the work truck industry, is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of welding and fabrication tasks, interpret blueprints and technical drawings, operate welding equipment, and contribute to the production of high‑quality products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

What You Will Do
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
  • Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
  • Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
  • Maintain and repair all machinery.
  • Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
  • Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat‑resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
  • Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a welder
  • Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
Education Background
  • A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time
  • Mobility and dexterity to move around operating machinery and powered industrial equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to operate power tools and vibrating equipment
  • Ability to work on site to physically support manufacturing requirements
