Job summary

ASTEC in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking skilled welders to join our manufacturing team. You will cut, lay out, weld, and finish components, read drawings, and operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging as required.

We offer a $1500 sign-on bonus, $2.00 per hour shift differential, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision from Day 1, 401(k) with company match, PTO, parental leave, tuition aid, and more. High school diploma or GED preferred; must pass weld test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift, overhead crane, and rigging experience required.
• Must pass weld test.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret detailed drawings.

Responsibilities

• Cut and prepare surfaces or components.
• Lay out, position, fit, tack, weld, and finish a variety of parts or products following established methods and specifications.
• Handle and position heavy components using an overhead crane, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Other job duties as assigned.
