Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles is seeking a skilled welder in Cartersville, GA to follow routings, perform welding per blueprints, and inspect finished parts. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a technical welding degree, and at least two years of welding experience.

MIG welding proficiency and basic math are required. Candidates will work with various fixtures, tools, and equipment to ensure quality welds.

Qualifications

• Must pass MIG weld test.
• Must perform basic mathematics.
• Proficient in blueprint readings.
• Experience with measuring tools, welding techniques and manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Follow routings and complete paperwork per procedures.
• Perform first piece inspect of welded parts to blue-print specs; adjust setups for quality.
• Inspect work and fixtures; set up and weld parts per shop routings.
• Locate assemblies or components into fixtures to produce quality parts.
• Set and maintain welding temperatures, wire feeds and gas settings.
• Maintain weld guns and wire feeders.
• Operate tools related to welding (sanders, grinders, buffers) as needed.
• Communicate equipment or part issues to Supervisor/crew leader.
