Job summary

Tenneco is looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will weld metal components using MIG processes, following blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions to produce strong, consistent welds.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, MIG welding experience, and the ability to pass an evaluation within 60 days. You will set up equipment, read blueprints, perform quality checks, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must pass MIG welder evaluation test within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding to join metals per specifications.
• Verify blueprints or work instructions for each job.
• Conduct first-piece inspection and document hourly quality checks.
• Update hourly count boards to track production progress.
• Communicate production counts to supervisor at shift end.
• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment with proper settings.
• Use tools, jigs, fixtures, clamps to hold workpieces.
• Maintain 5S and follow EHS policies.
